She was the wife of the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 to September 1962 and she was the mom of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was discovered by actress Norma Shearer and signed a contract to work for MGM in the 1940s. The actress portrayed Norma in several popular films throughout time, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho in 1960, and Living It Up, a Martin and Lewis film that was released in the year 1954.
