Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
One baby was strapped on my back as another crawled around in the playpen. I stayed up all night days for months sanding and removing wallpaper, and with just one child. Ha! The whole thing started to be clear, but was still far from being finished. The house would need a great deal of effort and a love for shopping. My three sons and I were looking for the hidden treasures attending estate sales in order to keep my spending under control. Every week, we would walk through estate and garage sales on Saturdays and Thursdays and purchase a variety of old and new pieces. My next task was to spend working on my projects outside in our driveway. The look was a little like this... Here is the place where my passion for in the process of restoring old furniture got started. Once our home was furnished, I still couldn't give up! On the streets, I rented a small space and sold some pieces. Then, I ran out of lots of pieces to keep in the space available. Then I began hosting open houses in my home where over 1 000 people would come through in the span of a weekend. They could buy anything they saw on the first floor. Growing Days was created in this home. The business I was running was growing however my family was growing too. Being a new mom I was able to strike the right balance to both start my own business as well as become a great mother. Growing Days fit perfectly. It was in 2013 when my beautiful daughter Nora joined our 4th child. I loved where my business was going, but I wanted a break. I took some time away from vintage furniture to spend more quality time with my kids. It was exactly what I was looking for. However after a few months after that, the phone began to call. They were asking for assistance with interior decorating as well as renovations. The majority of them had been to my home during open houses for furniture. In the following months, I began to take on clients in my own way. In the end, I had many clients, and had an enterprise of renovations to homes. If you had told me that this business of mine would turn into an idea for a TV show that airs on the DIY Network I probably would have been astonished. When I look back, it makes me laugh.
