Laura Linney was one of the best American actors of recent times. Her strong and vulnerable performances have made her a household famous. She was raised by a single, unmarried mother who was a nurse. She became interested in the theatre during holidays with her father, who was famous. Her studies in acting were at Brown University, and later at Juilliard School. After graduating from Brown University she started her Broadway debut soon afterward. After two years of that, her first film hit the market, and next year her TV debut. Since then, she's appeared in numerous film, TV as well as stage productions. During her career she received several awards, among them two Golden Globe Awards. In spite of all these accolades, her love for theater is still there constant, as she still performs as a stage performer and screen.
